As someone who listens to this podcast I am confident to assume that you are someone who is familiar with the name Napoleon Hill … The author of the famous book … Think and grow rich which is the most read personal development of all time.

The book we are reviewing day is a book that I am gonna call pure gold.
This book the patterns of inhabiting success is not only filled with nugget after nugget, the author goes in detail and gives you step by step on what you need to do to reach all your goals and live the life of your dreams.
Because this book is an in depth read kind of book, I can only share so much with you as to what you will get out of it and all I am going to say is that YES this is a must read for anyone who follows my work and wants to make this next year their best one ever.
What I absolutely loved about this book is that the lessons in it are designed to teach you how to tap the powers of your mind.
14 Chapters in all and 218 pages.
Before I buy a book I always look at the table of contents and make a decision based on the titles of the chapters.
Two chapters that caught my attention and made me buy this book are chapters 4 and 8.
Chapter 4 is The Magic Formula and Chapter 8 is The Magic Wand.
Obviously you can tell the Magic word that got my attention is the word Magic, I love that word because that has always been the way I live my life, always making every moment a magical one, a lucky one, a moment that counts and a moment that impacts my life in the best way possible.
I am not going to talk about either of these chapters in this review as I am going to let you read them, master them and enjoy their blessings.
I am going to keep the focus of this review on sharing with you some key points from Chapter one, titled, Determination and the reason I am going to do that is because as a real estate coach and trainer who has been on about 30,000 one on one coaching calls over the last 20 years, the one big struggle I see people having revolves around just that one word.
It is easy to fool yourself and tell yourself that you are committed, that you are determined to the do the work however when we take a deep look at what you actually do everyday we would discover that you are not as committed or as determined as you say you are.
So with that said, no one is pointing fingers at you and saying that you would not like to be a super committed person who is determined to do whatever it takes to build a successful top listing agent business, all we are saying is that you most likely just don’t know how or simply just having the free will to do as you please when you please is the reason.
Napoleon hill says FREE WILL gives you the power to create an EDEN for ourselves and for our family on earth.
However, most of us fail to achieve an EDEN on earth because we tend to drift along, making decisions but only when we are forced to make them. Can you relate to this, even though you know you want more out of life, even though you know you must go to the gym and work out or do your lead follow up or prospect, you keep on putting things off until you run out of money or get sick or face a situation that just flat out forces to have to decide to finally take that action, can you relate at all to what we are talking about here.
I bet most would answer yes, I can relate and that is why most people fall into the category or average or below average agents.
To do take your life and to take your business to the next level.
You must stop this one bad habit before anything else.
There is no tomorrow, there is I will do this later, or when I Feel better I will get to it.
You must stop putting things off, a committed person does what a committed person is supposed to do when they are supposed to do it.
No and, No buts and No ifs.
To get yourself to this place of where your actions tell the world if you are committed or not, you must work on the mastery of positive thinking.
Yes I said it POSITIVE THINKING … And I know that you are sick and tired of hearing these words, as you have been hearing it all your life and most likely dibbled and dabbled in it, yet you are still stuck in the same place.
Well, that is because you have been a drifter as we mentioned before.
I don’t want to make this message one where I am beating you up, I am not the author of this book, I am the messenger who is simply trying to wake you up and interrupt your old way of thinking so we can best help you finally tap into the powers of your mind so you too can live the life of your dreams.
Which of course consist of you having set specific goals, so here are Napoleon Hills 6 steps to accomplish a goal, any goal for that matter.
Step One:
Fix in your mind exactly what you want to achieve – He say be specific. A real estate example would be to Take Two New Listings a Month.
Step Two:
Determine exactly what you must give in return to achieve your goal – Nothing worthwhile comes without some price (i.e. time, money, change a habit, etc.). What changes do you need to make to your life / lifestyle that will allow you to achieve your goal? –
Step Three:
Establish a definite date by which you intend to achieve your goal – I will achieve this goal by this day,
Step Four:
Create a definite plan and begin at once, whether you are ready or not.
Step Five: Write out a clear, concise statement of your goal, the time limit for its acquisition, what you intend to give in return for your goal and the plan through which you intend to achieve it.
Step Six:
Read your written statement aloud, 2 X a day. Once just before you go to bed and again each morning when you first wake up.
If you have read the book think and grow rich then you are most likely familiar with this exercise.
Let me break this down for you one more time for simplicity reasons.
Once you have answered these questions your statement should read as follows.
My goal is ______________ and I intend to give ______________ in return for achieving my goal.
I intend to achieve this goal by _____________
My plan of action is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
Sign it, date it, and read it twice a day.
