Welcome to another episode of the TOP LISTING AGENT SHOW.

This week we discuss the importance of objections, and how you can minimize them with the power of your mind.

Ideal situation: You’re in a potential seller home. The couple who wants to sell their home is having a great conversation with you, and at the end, say that they want to hire you, with no objection at all.

Real life situation:  You pick up the phone to talk to the potential buyer/seller while hundreds of objection scenarios are going through your mind about the things that could go wrong, and you’re thinking that what can you say to overcome those possible scenarios. You’re activating law of attraction, and that’s what you’re expecting; objection from the client.

Minimize Objection: You must believe in yourself. Believe that the people will like you, want to do business with you, and will trust you. It will not make the objections vanish but will minimize them exponentially. If you knew how to handle and crush the objections the client is giving you, you wouldn’t even think about those possible scenarios anymore.

Practical improvement: Make two lists; one for buyers and one for sellers. For the next 50 conversations with each of these groups, document all the reasons someone said no or had an objection. After that, look at all the objections in both lists, and see which ones come up the most often.  Then focus on improving and overcoming those objections.

Bottom line: Objection is part of the sales process. It’s not the most important part, but it’s important enough to know how to crush the objections to make better sales long term.

Bonus: If this is an area where you need to improve, visit www.winninginfluence.com to attend a free hour and five minutes long webinar where I teach how to break 20 common objections that we all go through, and how to crush it to make a win win situation.
