The real key to effective marketing is understanding the wants and the needs of our prospects.
Many people spend a lot of money on their marketing hoping and praying that they yield in a good return however besides making the monetary investment they did not make the research time investment.
With today technology it is very simple for anyone to conduct a survey to find out exactly what the consumer wants and needs.
When you know what the consumer is looking for then you can market yourself more intelligently catering to the specific wants and needs of the prospect and this is what we call effective marketing.
I recently conducted a survey to an email list of mine of about 150 people, 101 of them took the survey and it let me know exactly what my clients want, this way the next time they receive a marketing piece of mine they are more receptive to look at it simply because what is in it is exactly what they told me they wanted.
